Trailblazer Academy

We started Trailblazer Academy because we believe gifted and high-achieving learners deserve an education that goes beyond memorizing information and preparing for standardized tests. We want students to understand how the world actually works, ask difficult questions, and develop the skills and confidence to shape their own futures. Bitcoin provides an especially powerful intersection of economics, technology, history, entrepreneurship, and critical thinking. We operate in Ormond Beach, Florida, serving gifted and high-potential learners in grades 3–9. Our students learn in a hands-on environment designed around exploration, collaboration, and real-world application. We educate through inquiry, discussion, projects, experimentation, and authentic experiences. Rather than treating Bitcoin as an isolated technology topic, we connect it to the history of money, monetary systems, economics, mathematics, technology, personal sovereignty, and entrepreneurship. Students are encouraged to question assumptions, research independently, and explain what they learn to others. We have run summer programs exploring Bitcoin and the history of money, and our students have created and operated businesses that accept Bitcoin. Bitcoin is now part of our core instruction, where students engage with curriculum that explores its technology, history, economics, and broader implications. We are actively teaching Bitcoin today and continuing to expand opportunities for students to apply what they learn. Next, we plan to deepen our curriculum, develop additional hands-on projects, and create more opportunities for students to interact with the broader Bitcoin community and real-world Bitcoin businesses.
